Year 7 personal development

Personal Development Program

The main goal of our Personal Development Program is to introduce Middle School students to new experiences and enable them to gain some competency in what could become a life-long involvement.

The variety of activities evolves regularly, but can include archery, aviation, fencing, photography, yoga, surfing, a range of community service activities and our popular . The attached PDF file for Semester 2 2013 activities is an example of the type and cost of activities in the Personal Development Program for Years 7 & 8.

Students in Year 7 select two activities from the Life Experience stream. Year 8 students choose one Life Experience activity and one Community Service activity. Students in Year 9 select two activities from the Community Service stream.

Cadets is considered to be both a Life Experience and a Community Service activity because of the wide range of skills students develop and the unit’s ethic of service.

This enables students from Years 7-9 to select Cadets as an option at any time. The Cadet program has been designed to facilitate personal growth and promote leadership.


All members of our community - past, present and future - were invited to join us as we celebrated fifty years of outstanding education on the Mornington Peninsula. We had a host of celebratory Golden Jubilee
